The 6th Annual Traveling Fashion Runway Showcase & Educational Tour, Threads and Crowns: A Legacy Tribute – Miami Edition, will take place on August 1, 2026, at the Arlo Wynwood Hotel in Miami's vibrant Arts District. This special showcase celebrates the artistry, history, and enduring style of hats in fashion while honoring two remarkable women whose lives and creative influence continue to inspire others.

The Traveling Fashion Runway Showcase & Educational Tour is a signature program of VMAX For One Community Inc., created to inspire, educate, and empower youth through creative arts, fashion, leadership, and cultural experiences. More than a fashion show, this unique program combines professional runway presentations with educational opportunities that introduce participants to careers in fashion, design, media, photography, visual merchandising, public speaking, and entrepreneurship.

Our mission is to promote Creative Arts and The Art of Fashion as powerful tools for self-expression, confidence building, personal growth, and career exploration. Through travel, education, and real-world experiences, participants develop valuable life skills while discovering opportunities within the creative industry.

The Miami Edition of Threads and Crowns: A Legacy Tribute serves as the opening chapter of a special two-part legacy experience. This showcase was inspired by the memories of two extraordinary women whose love for creativity, beauty, and self-expression continues to impact the people around them.

One tribute honors the memory of Zelda Polk's mother, whose appreciation for hats reflected elegance, grace, confidence, and tradition. During her memorial service, the women of her church wore beautiful hats in her honor, creating a powerful display of respect, sisterhood, and remembrance. That meaningful tradition became the inspiration behind this year's fashion theme, bringing hats back to the runway as symbols of style, heritage, and personal expression.

The second tribute honors the late mother of our dear friend, Danny Hristoskov. A gifted fashion designer, knitting artist, and retail visual designer from Bulgaria, she was celebrated for her handcrafted knitwear designs and remarkable artistic talent. Each garment reflected her passion for creativity, attention to detail, and love for the art of fashion. Her work and legacy continue to inspire those who knew her, and her story became an important part of the vision behind Threads and Crowns: A Legacy Tribute. Through her influence, we are reminded that creativity has the power to connect generations, preserve memories, and leave a lasting impact far beyond the runway.

Though these women came from different backgrounds and experiences, they shared a common belief in the beauty of creativity and self-expression. Threads and Crowns: A Legacy Tribute celebrates their memories while honoring the influence they continue to have on family, friends, artists, and future generations.

The Miami Edition marks the beginning of this tribute journey, bringing together youth, families, artists, designers, community leaders, and supporters for an inspiring evening of fashion, education, and creativity.
